Dr. Amin A. Elmallah is the Dean Emeritus, College of Business of Administration, California State University, Stanislaus. Dr. Elmallah is a recognized expert in a number of business fields with special emphasis in management and cost accounting, financial accounting, government accounting, quantitative methods, operations management, economic theory, economic development and planning, and organizational theory.
Dr. Elmallah has been a faculty member and lead administrator for CSU Chico, CSU Sacramento, and since 2000 as the Associate Dean and Dean of the College of Business Administration for CSU Stanislaus. While at CSU Stanislaus, he led his department in securing the highly regarded accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. He recently led the effort towards creating CSU Stanislaus’ first Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) program.
Dr. Elmallah has an impressive list of academic accomplishments. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Consultant (CMA), Certified Cost Estimator (CCEA). He has a BA in Communications from Alexandria University in Egypt, an MBA from Indiana University, and a Ph.D. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Early is his career, Dr. Elmallah provided consulting assistance for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIEA) and is recognized as an international expert in accounting.

Edward H. Hernandez, Ph.D.

Dr. Hernandez received his Ph.D. in Management at the Merage School of Business at the University of California Irvine.
He is currently the coach of the 2006 National Champion Human Resource Games team. Dr. Herandez is also a 3-time CSU Stanislaus Club Advisor of the Year and the 2005 State of California HR Professor of the Year. He was recently named the 2007 Society for Human Resource Management National HR Advisor of the Year.
His students currently hold the national record for PHR (Professional in Human Resource) Certification passes and his HR Games team currently holds the longest tournament win streak in the nation. He is currently President of the Western Business & Management Association and chair's their annual conference. His areas of specialization are human resources law, temp & contract labor, and labor relations.
Outside of class Dr. Hernandez is known as an avid theater fan, play write, mixed-media artist and video creator.

Peter Ping Li, Ph.D.

Dr. Li is a Full Professor of Management in the California State University, Stanislaus, and a freelance consultant specializing in business strategy for more than a decade. His consulting clients include various companies in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, and the U.S. He has offered strategic consulting service for the Bank of China, Shagang Steel Group, Shenzhen Neptune Group, Xiangtan Securities Group, Henan Chundu Group in China; China Resources Holdings in Hong Kong; Leng Teck Group in Singapore eBiz4biz.com in Canada; and Pacific Southwest Container and Prentice House Publishing in the US.
His real business experiences include his positions as the Deputy Director of Foreign Investment Office in China’s Sichuan Province; the co-founder and CEO of InfoVision International, a Virginia-based computer retail firm; and the co-founder and Chairman of 3A Capital, a strategy consultancy firm specializing in China’s corporate restructuring. He has published about thirty journal papers on various issues of managing business in the developing countries, especially the late-coming multinational firms in information technology industries from China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan. He serves on the editorial board of Asian Pacific Journal of Management. He has been recognized by peers as one of the top 150 experts in international business in the world, and regularly interviewed by Radio Free Asia and NBC-ABN about Asia’s business topics. He is also a visiting professor of management in both Peking University and Xian Jiaotong University.
Born in China, Dr. Li holds a BA in English from Shanghai University of International Studies, and a MBA in International Finance from University of International Business and Economics in Beijing. He also holds a PhD in International Strategy and Technology Management from the George Washington University.

Ashour Badal, Ph.D.

Dr. Badal is a member of the management faculty with California State University Stanislaus, College of Business Administration and is the Senior Associate Director for the CSU, Stanislaus Executive MBA program and the Coordinator of the Business Programs offered at the CSU, Stanislaus Stockton campus. In addition to his academic and administrative responsibilities, he is also a consultant specializing in organizational leadership development and organizational behavior, as well as developing effective and efficient organizational systems.
He has served as a management consultant, developing leadership and organizational structures for various private, Pre-IPOs, non-profit, and governmental agencies. Some of his recent clients include Telocity (a Pre-IPO and now a part of Hughes Net Services) City and County of Tulare, City of Riverbank, Modesto Police Department, San Francisco Police Department, and San Francisco International Airport.
He is currently a consultant to California Office of Homeland Security providing specific research and assistance in understanding the leadership and organizational structure of the Middle Eastern radical organizations and has developed and implemented a comprehensive program designed to provide more proactive counter-terrorism tools that can be adopted by the state and federal agencies as well as educational institutions throughout the United States. Prior to his career in the higher education field, Dr. Badal’s experience included more a decade of providing direct healthcare services and working in the counseling and behavior analysis fields.
Dr. Badal holds a BA in Psychology from California State University Stanislaus, MA in Organizational Behavior from Alliant International University, MA in Human Development from The Fielding Graduate University, and Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems from the Fielding Graduate University.

Ms. Ann L. Edwards, M.S., CSCP

Ann L. Edwards’s career focuses on supply chain management. Her experiences have spanned the entire supply chain.
Her specialization and interests within supply chain management include demand management and forecasting, sales and operational planning, inventory planning, capacity planning and manufacturing strategy. She is dedicated to improving productivity, collaboration and innovation by helping and educating organizations on how to manage and integrate their supply chains by reducing costs and increasing their customer service levels.
Ms. Edwards spent more than six years consulting with a diversity of organizations including US Steel, Conoco Philips, Carnegie Melon University, Werner Ladder, Yankee Atomic Power Company and M&T Bank. She has also worked over twenty three years in the consumer goods industry with E&J Gallo Winery in a variety of business and technical roles.
In addition to her professional experiences Ann L Edwards is dedicated to education. She is currently an adjunct professor at California State University instructing the undergraduate Supply Chain Management course as well as their new Executive MBA Supply Chain Management course.
Ms. Edwards has also received the new professional credential, CSCP, Certified Supply Chain Professional, offered by the Association of Operations Management, APICS.
Ann L. Edwards earned her M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and her B.S. in Quantitative Business Analysis from the Pennsylvania State University.

Nael A. Aly, Ph.D.

Dr. Nael Aly, the new Dean of the College of Business Administration, and the Director of the EMBA at California State University, Stanislaus is a Professor of Operations Management and for the last three years, he has served as an Assistant to the College of Business Administration Dean. In addition to normal department chair duties, he had responsibility for administrative assignment to assists the College Dean in the day-day operations of the College. His major responsibilities were for student services, curricular development, committee services and College representation and reporting. He also has served as the Chair of the Management, Operations, and Marketing Department at California State University, Stanislaus from 1994 to 2007. He has a Ph.D. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, U.S.A and a M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Production Engineering from Alexandria University, Egypt.
Dr. Aly is considered to be one of the experts in the Quality Management field. He has written numerous papers in Total Quality Management (TQM), and Statistical Process Control (SPC) and their implementation in manufacturing, hospitals, educational institutions, and Mexico's Maquiladoras. His papers are published in the Journal of Total Quality Management, California Journal of Operations Management, International Journal of Materials and product Technology, Computers and Industrial Engineering, Food Technology Journal, IEEE Transactions on Reliability, Quality Assurance in Education, and many professional conference proceedings.
Dr. Aly has an impressive record in designing and conducting training programs, and consulting in SPC, TQM, and ISO 9000 and their implementation in manufacturing and service organizations. These training programs were offered in public seminars, certificate programs, and to international organizations, such as the Rajabhat Institute of Thailand. The programs were also offered to many companies in Northern California, such as: Hughson Nut, Foster Farms, Stanislaus County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (Modesto Office), Supherb Farms (Turlock plant), Ryan and Pierra Almond Company (Los Banos), St. Joseph’s Medical Center (Stockton), Emanuel Medical Center (Turlock), Campbell Soup (Modesto and Sacramento plants), James River (Modesto plant), Owen Illinois (Tracy plant), Banquet Foods (Turlock plant), RACOR (Modesto plant), Cal Almond (Hughson plant), Louis Rich (Modesto plant), Blue Diamond (Sacramento plant), Blommer Chocolate (Union City plant), Diamond Walnut (Stockton plant), Monte Cristo (Livington plant), Proctor and Gamble (Modesto plant), George Pacific (Modesto plant), Gallo Glass (Modesto plant), Tri-Valley, and Con-Agra Butterball Turkey.

Dr. Aly’s professional activities are extensive. He is a senior member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), American Society for Quality (ASQ), Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), the Business Honor Society (Beta Gamma Sigma), the Engineering Honor Society (Tau Beta Pi), and the Industrial Engineering Honor Society (Alpha Pi Mu), Honor Society for Collegiate Schools of Business (Beta Gamma Sigma) and the Honor Society (Phi Kappa Phi). Dr. Aly was a member of the editorial board of the CSU Journal of Research. He has been a Conference Co-Chair for the International Conference on Industry, Engineering, and Management Systems since 1997. He is also a reviewer for many professional journals and conferences, among them are California Journal of Operations Management, IEEE Transactions on Reliability, Computers and Industrial Engineering, IEEE Transactions, CSU-POM Conference, Western Decision Science Institute Conferences, APICS International Conference, the International Conference on Industry, Engineering and Management Systems, and the International Business Association Conference. Dr. Aly also served as guest and keynote speaker in many professional meetings and conferences such as California State University, Stanislaus Foundation Board, Rotary Clubs in Turlock, California, International Conference on Production Engineering, Design, and Control, Alexandria, Egypt, Geological Society, Modesto Chapter, and Turlock Irrigation District sponsored Water Management Symposium.
Dr. Aly has received numerous awards and honors. Among them are the Outstanding Scholarship Award, and the Meritorious Performance and Professional Promise Award (twice) from the School of Business Administration at CSUS. He is the Recipient of the Paul Harris Award, Turlock Sunrise Rotary, May 2005.
He is listed in the Who’s Who in California; the International Who’s Who in Quality, and the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. He graduated with honors from the Production Engineering Department at Alexandria University and was ranked first in his class for four years. During his graduate work at the University of Oklahoma, he was rewarded with the Outstanding International Student Award, the C.L. Disney Scholarship and a certificate of Merit as an Outstanding International Student. |

Sophie Zong, Ph.D.

Dr. Zong is an Assistant Professor of Finance who joined the California State University, Stanislaus in 2005.
Her research interests include Corporate Finance, International Finance, Banking, and Investments. She has published four papers in Advances in Financial Economics: Innovations in Investments and Corporate Finance, International Finance Review, and Journal of Multinational Financial Management. Dr. Zong has been actively involved in professional conferences. She presented papers not only in Finance but also in International Business conferences. Dr. Zong received Research Scholar and Creative Activities (RSCA) Grant of California State University Stanislaus in 2005 and 2007, and Dean’s Research and Publication Grant of College of Business Administration, CSUS in 2007.
Dr. Zong has seven years of working experiences in Bank of China, Head Quarter, in Beijing. She worked in the credit card department and her responsibilities involved risk management in credit card business and traveler’s checks business. She was also involved in credit card business cooperation between Bank of China and MasterCard International, VISA, American Express, and Citi Group.

Tahi J. Gnepa Ph.D.

Dr. Gnepa has been educated and has work experience on three continents: Africa, Europe, and North America. His most significant industry experience includes positions at Texaco (Abidjan, Ivory Coast), BNP-Paribas (Paris, France), and Compagnie du Niger France (Paris, France). Besides English, he is fluent in French, and four African languages. He holds a Ph.D. (International Business and Marketing) and a Master of Science in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He did his undergraduate work (Marketing) at the Ecole Superieure de Commerce d'Abidjan in Ivory Coast, West Africa.
Courses recently taught at CSUS include: Principles of Marketing, Global Marketing, Advertising and Promotion Management, Seminar in International Business, Management of International Business, and Introduction to Global Business. Dr. Gnepa has previously taught at the University of North Dakota, in Grand Forks, ND. A former Research Fellow of the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER at San Diego State University), Dr. Gnepa is extensively published and his research is multidisciplinary in nature. He has been the recipient of numerous research grants and awards. His current research focuses on the commoditization of leisure and the marketing of destination; his most recent longitudinal examination of export destination under increasing globalization of markets has received a great deal of attention in the academic community. His publications have appeared in the Journal of Global Marketing, the Journal of International Consumer Marketing, the Journal of Advertising Research, the Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, and the Journal of International Food and Agribusiness Marketing, among others.
Dr. Gnepa is active in numerous marketing and international business organizations, including the American Marketing Association (AMA) and the Association for Marketing Theory and Practice (AMTP). He is currently the president of the International Academy of Business and Economics (IABE), the Associate Editor of the International Journal of Business Research (IJBR), and the Managing Editor of the Journal of International Business and Economics (JIBE) and the International Journal of Business Strategy (IJBS).
